New Degree, New Show
With the final performances of Blind Eye at The Traverse, so finished my year on the Masters course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I’ve learnt an awful lot and met a great deal of tremendous folk, none moreso that the 22 other actors and directors I studied with. I’ve made some lifelong friends, some of whom I will be working with again very soon on Shakespeare’s King John at The Tron Theatre in October.
It’s a great month for theatre, too: I saw the matinee of NTS’ ‘In Time O Strife’ at the Trav before our final show – exactly the sort of multi-discipline, big, gutsy, Scottish theatre I love NTS for. Hamlet is currently on at The Citizens Theatre, and Company of Wolves open their new show 'Seven Hungers' shortly as well. All good, all round!
